What is the Anglican Fellowship of Prayer (Canada)?
For more than 30 years AFP has been encouraging and supporting the development, understanding and practice of Christian prayer for individuals and communities.
AFP is a fellowship of people who wish to encourage Christian prayer in its many expressions.
As an all-volunteer fellowship, it is steered by an Executive Committee made up of people from across Canada. Led by a National Director and Chairperson, the Executive Committee provides organizational leadership, and written, video and human resources about prayer in its many forms. It also organizes National level prayer events and conferences from time to time.
Much of the work of AFP is facilitated by Diocesan Representatives in the Dioceses of the Anglican Church of Canada. It is through these Diocesan Representatives that local prayer events and conferences are carried out.
How do I join the Fellowship?
AFP is a fellowship of Christians who are drawn to the ministry of prayer, and hope to encourage others to pray.
Becoming a member of the Fellowship is simple. Membership is open to all people who are drawn to this ministry and who desire to be part of a growing body of disciples. By simply contacting us and indicating a desire to join the fellowship, members will regularly receive news and access to a wide variety of resources, as well as other prayer related items. While there is no specific membership fee, members will be contacted once a year and invited to participate financially, as they are able, in this ministry.
You may contact us on this website by using the contact form that is here, or send an email to our membership coordinator at: email@example.com, or by mailing us at
